Guest guest
I think the ankle-foot orthosis device has been discussed here before, too, recently. Who has tried one? Now I'm tempted to get one for my right foot, which I trip on most often. --Mr. Dana F. Guest guest
Hi, Dana, I was fitted for one back when I was in the hosp. recently. It is rather hard plastic, though it does help with the foot drop alot. I feel I've even retrained mine, but keep the orthodic 'handy' so to speak in case I should need it again. It is well worth getting one, but PT needs to get it right for you. It slips under the pad in your shoe. blessings and love, Dana, Kate Re: foot drop & ankle-foot orthosis I think the ankle-foot orthosis device has been discussed here before, too, recently. Guest guest
I use the ankle-foot orthosis device on my left leg because I have a foot drop which you have described it from NMSS. At first I couldn't get used to it but after a few days I got used to it. Its a plastic thing that you put inside your shoe. Guest guest
Hi, Nukhet: Do you have to wear special shoes in order to use the device or does it fit in your regular shoes? When I looked up orthosis online it showed a device that you wear from the calf down to the toes. And, it indicated you wear it with specially designed shoes. --Mr. Dana F.
