Hello,

called me tonight and said she went to the hospital to have some tests done. After having her

wired up to a monitor, they put some kind of cream on her hands, which she was told would induce a seizure. I wish I could have been there with her, but I didn't know today was the day she was supposed to have the tests done.

A friend of the family went with her, and she was allowed to watch the testing. She said it was like watching someone who was possessed. She said 's speech began to slow down and her voice went down a couple of octaves. She said that 's whole demeanor changed right before the seizure became full blown. After the test, was asked if she remembered any of the questions that were previously asked. She didn't remember any. They waited for a little while, then they induced another seizure. said after the second seizure, she wasn't able to speak at all for quite sometime. Her friend tried to ask some questions, but she rolled over and fell asleep.

They won't have the results until next week. If they find that it is epilepsy, she has to make an appt. with a Neurologist to see about getting treated.

has also been experiencing very bad migraines for the past couple of weeks. The doctor gave her medication for them. I told to let me know when she goes to the Neuro, I want to go with her. I really feel that she should have her mother there, not some friend of the family. After all, I know more about her medical history than anyone.

Well, that's all I know for now. But, I have a lot of questions to ask her doctor. Even though is 26 years old, emotionally, she's still and adolescent. I wanted to bring her over to my house tonight and let her sleep over, since the doctor didn't advise her to be home alone after having just had two seizures, but chose to stay closer to her home and have a friend stay with her. At least she's got someone with her.

Love and blessings,

Val

Val,

Wow. I didn't know anything about this but on the other hand. I get too many emails to go through all of them and I just delete them. I noticed your name and decided to read. I am so sorry to hear that is going through all this. I know she has had migraines but didn't realize she was having seizures. I never heard of a medication they can give to induce seizures. Watching someone who is having a seizure is not fun at all. I experience one with a pregnant coworker during a lunch break sitting at my desk. I was very shaken up about it but surprisingly pretty calm in helping her and getting people to do what needed to be done. I really wanted to take the rest of the day off bcs it was very emotional bcs I didn't know she had had seizures before and she was pregnant. I don't ever want to see that again.

I wish she would come over and stay with you but you also know how children can be. Sometimes they want their mother and most of the time they don't. I would feel the same way you do about her going to see the doctor without you. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of all this soon.

God Bless and Take Care

:)

I'll definitely be going with her on her next visit to the doctor. She's been having seizures off and on since she was 8yrs. old. Just recently, they've been getting worse and more frequent. I still believe an MRI is in order, that is why I want to go with her to her Neuro visit. I think the neuro needs to know about our family history. I don't think knows a whole lot about it. I still think that a lot of 's issues are do largely in part to her birth deformity. I think the neuro should be informed.

Thank you, for your concern.

Love and blessings,
