Guest guest
Dear AIDS India members, Re: /message/8930 The point that Sanjeev is raising are some real big concerns but seem to have been sidelined. Apparently, INP+ seem to be the co chair of the CCM (correct me if I am wrong!). What has been the process to involve the civil society and the needs of the people in the overall country proposal? It is not just for this round but also for the earlier rounds. What has the so called representative of Civil society interest in HIV, Child development, TB done to consult and take inputs from the larger civil society and the affected communities?. It will be good for us to know. GF is such an important aspect which can save lives and make meaningful interventions. Yet, it seemed to be controlled by some people who does not seem to bother to share information that matters to the lives of many. It will be specially good for us to know what INP, and the CS representatives have done so far to engage the affected communities and their interest in the country proposal. Could you all please confirm what mediums have you all used to reach out to the masses? Please enlighten us. It is also important for all the activist, organisations who are actively working on HIV to start asking questions and understand about Global fund and how it works, otherwise it will remain as an important source of meaningful interventions but not tapped, where big NGOs/Goverments only are becoming PRs and making a good source of their administrative expenses. Lets also remember that Round 9 is coming up soon. Lets not let this remain in big people's hands, it matters to us all.
