Guest guest
Yes, but as I also have cystic fibrosis (runs in the family), and I probably got Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus (MRSA) there, some years ago, that means that I had to be in isolation, which is kind of neat, but on the other hand, the doctors do not follow the appropriate protocols. The nurses do, and the aids do, and the medical Residents (who are also doctors) do, But not those doctors with prac tices (as it were, which it is) out in the community and who have what are called "privileges" in that hospital. I do not enjoy hospitals--not at all--about the time they get all my meds straight I am out the door. I am definitely feeling better, and have been dozing a lot since I got home, although I did indulge, using electric cart, in some very select grocery shopping. Had lamb chops tonight. I will work on lamb stew tomorrow; they had lamb shoulder chops on sale for about 1.84 for 1.50 lbs. I cleaned up. Thank you, Cassy for asking. Guest guest
Hi n! Well,im so glad your doin better, resting and eating. You will feel back to your same self in no time. What a good deal! I have never had lamb. What does it taste like? I know all about isolation. When my niece was in isolation in the NICU it was crazy. It was something id only seen on t.v. Made my heart break and I just lost it and went into tears until the doc took us aside and explained it was protocol. But they acted as if she was contaminated with the worst thing ever. hugz and glad your back! cassy Re: n/ Yes, but as I also have cystic fibrosis (runs in the family), and I probably got Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus (MRSA) there, some years ago, that means that I had to be in isolation, which is kind of neat, but on the other hand, the doctors do not follow the appropriate protocols. Guest guest
Lamb is AWESOME, you've never had it? My mother was born in New Zealand and they eat lots and lots of it, so I kinda grew up eating it...if it is cooked one way, it can be very greasy (mom loved the greasy way, lamb fat has it's own distinct taste) if another way less greasy (Rob doesn't like it greasy so I taught myself how to make it less so), it's the same way, more the heat and time involved. It has a very distinct flavor, not like beef or pork at all. I wish I could come over and roast you a big ol' leg with some fresh rosemary/mint sauce! And little whole 'taters roasted along with it! Hugs Akiba -- Re: n/Yes, but as I also have cystic fibrosis (runs in thefamily), and I probably got Methicillin ResistantStaphylococcus (MRSA) there, some years ago, that means that I had to be in isolation, which iskind of neat, but on the other hand, the doctorsdo not follow the appropriate protocols. Guest guest
Well, if one were to completely sheer a sheep, it would immediately be apparent that it is closely related to: deer, moose, domestic cattle, bison, and all other quadrupeds who eat grass, wag their tails, nurse their young, produce milk, and have shoulders, ribs, and rumps. Cooked right, you probably would not be able to distinguish young lamb from beef or venison (deer) or pork. Just picture a sheep, a deer, domestic cattle, pigs: they each are built more or less the same. Horses, too, but they do have much longer legs, more like the larger deer and elk, all of which are eaten by millions each day. I think that turkey and chicken differ far more than do beef, lamb or pork meat. There is no mystery to it. Sheep even produce milk for cheeses, milk to drink, and we must not, of course, leave out goats. This could get pretty wild! (baaaaad pun). Let us put it this way: meat from any quaduped, grazing animal tastes much like that from any other grazing quadru ped animal--especially if they are all ungulates. Well, I have promised Edna a "jaunt" today, so I must as Shakespeare put it "away!"
