Guest guest
Thanks Donna, I'll check into it. Washington has always had better health services and basic health care than Oregon. When we lived in Vancouver, Wa, we were on their basic health plan because we were self employed, and they have it set up to where they charge you on a sliding scale to what you are making per month. It was great as I got some of the best treatments and care. When we moved to Oregon, hubby was out of work for awhile and we tried to apply for Oregon Basic and because we had too much in our savings we were disqualified. Then we looked into it for one of our kids, and you have got to be below poverty level before you are accepted. Its a ridiculas low number. Thanks again for the info! I'll let you know if there are any of those type of programs here. Love, Jackie Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. As the name implies, it's an excellent resource for people who have disabilities. They are the ones who helped me through the application process to get my Social Security disability income. They also gave me the number for Volunteer Chore Services. Maybe there is an agency or referral system in place where you live. I used Volunteer Chore Services for help with housekeeping. The coordinator says that it's really difficult to find volunteers that will do just housekeeping.Anyway, I wanted to wish you the best.Donna in WA
