Guest guest
To Joanie - hang in there, my friend. I can not imagine how you must feel. I had fallen into that pit of despair before and it is sometimes hard to get out of it. When I was in that pit, my husband Larry read to me the book, "Glorious Mornings" by Jack Hayford. It was powerful. I copied a page out of it and I carry it in my purse. I read it now and then. The part that helped me the most was this- "Don't give hearing to those shadows that come against you. Don't open the door to those fears that cause you to feel despair, discouragement, and defeat. And when those lying voices want to get you on the line and say, "You can't live with this anymore," Hang up the phone!! How often we listen to the bombardment of that garbage from hell rather than to our Lord who says, " I have high plans for you." Amen. I know things seem very hard now but when one of those bad thoughts slip in, HANG UP THE PHONE!! If you keep doing it, you will soon notice that you will do it without telling yourself and then you will get to a point that you will no longer answer that phone.
