Guest guest
Dear Friends, The XVII International AIDS Conference will be held at Mexico City from 3 to 8 August 2008. Almost 24,000 delegates from around the world are likely to attend the conference. It is estimated that almost 4000 delegates could be from countries that do not have a Mexican Consulate.  To ensure efficient visa processing* with minimal discomfort to the travelers, the Mexican Government and the conference organizers have sought assistance from UNDP. UNDP will lend its assistance in the management of delegates` visas. The delegates now have the option of approaching any UNDP Office (including the India Office at 55, Lodi Estate, New Delhi-110003) and seek help in visa processing. Delegates may also directly contact the Mexican Consulate. The Consulate has assured issuance of visas without physical presence of the traveler, provided the passports and the completed visa request forms (including the needed supporting documents) are presented by UNDP officials.  At the India office, Ms. Gurleen Kaur has been designated as the Visa Focal Point. She can be contacted at gurleen.kaur@... or phone number +91-11-46532361. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any/all visa management request. With regards, Yours sincerely, Jerome Sauvage * UNDP assistance only includes Visas for Mexico. All transit visas will be arranged by the delegates themselves. Rajendra Shirke e-mail: <rajendra.shirke@...> Rajendra Shirke Programme Assistant HIV and Development Unit United Nations Development Prog.
