Guest guest Posted June 28, 2008 Report Share Posted June 28, 2008 Chief of party India - May 15, 2008 Chemonics seeks a chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded project in India to improve the environment for forging public- private partnerships that address key priority health areas. Responsibilities include: provide overall vision, leadership, management, and technical direction to the project; supervise technical and administrative staff; and liaise with high-level USAID and host-government officials, partners, and donors. Qualifications: Advanced degree in business, marketing, economics, or an equivalent field strongly preferred Minimum five years of experience in a senior leadership position, preferably managing complex health technical collaboration programs, preferably in India Significant experience in developing innovative partnership approaches with the private sector, in health and non-health sectors Ability to think strategically about key public health problems in India and potential market-based partnership solutions across the range of technical areas, including reproductive health/family planning, infectious disease, and maternal and child health Thoroughly conversant with health policy and financing issues relative to private sector health service delivery Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relations with the private sector, professional associations, senior government officials, U.S. and foreign government organizations, and development partners Qualified Indian nationals are encouraged to apply Experience working as chief of party on USAID-funded or other donor projects preferred Asia experience highly desirable Fluency in English required Application Instructions: Send electronic submissions to MBPCOP@... by July 01, 2008.
