Guest guest
This happened to me again last night - Was alllllllllllllllmost asleep, all nice and comfy, except my mouth was a little dry - not enough to get up for, though. Then I swallowed, and it was like something " stuck " and I was choking - just lasts a couple of seconds, I'm sure, but feels like forever and is enough to sit me up in a panic. Does anybody else get that? It doesn't happen often, thank God... T in WY " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... Guest guest
Yes. I have swallowing issues too. And it is a little scary. I can not sit down and enjoy a bowl of soup without choking at least once. And I really hate it when I take a bite of something and no matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to swallow. I don't choke, but I just can't swallow. That is usually frustrating and forces me to spit out the unswallowed food. But, it only lasts for a couple of seconds, then I can resume eating. Guest guest
I don’t have much trouble with eating, except what I can put down to getting; used to them there store-boughten teeth…<G> Though sometimes I have to THINK about how to swallow when I’m just walking around! Guest guest
Thanks – it scares me enough that I can’t go back to sleep for an hour or two after. Thank goodness it doesn’t happen too often. And it never seems to happen while I’m awake. I had to get a full upper denture a dew months ago due to a bone infection, and the first MONTH you’re supposed to sleep with the denture in, to help shape the bone. I lasted for 3 weeks and had to give up because I couldn’t get any sleep – the choking thing was VERY bad with a big old plastic thing in my mouth!
