Dear forum

Can any one say the differences between CD4 Count and CD4 Percentage?

During our HBC programs for the infected children we found from their

medical record CD4% rather than CD4 count.

What is the minimum % to start ART medicines for the infected people?

Dear FORUM,

Re: /message/8740

CD4 count tells the number of CD4 cells per cmm. while CD4 percentage will tell

the number in percentage. Usually it is not a practice to mention CD4 in

percentage and is mentioned in count. All the HGP and workers in the filed of

HIV/AIDS are more used to CD4 count.

All the parameters and guidelines take CD4 count as the index for decision.
