Guest guest
Hi I dont post here often, but came to see what was going on. I am 45 have had bad heavy painfulllll periods since age 11. have two kids 24,22 and two misacarriages back then. Right now dr has me on prometrium for fibroid and the rest. My question is - first dose my dr had me on for 3months trial on day 12-day 25 of my cycle. he took great pains to explain when to take this. so I go yesterday and after I get home with the prescription it say day 1-14. so I called and he said oh yea start on the first day of the month. I said well am supposed to start today for day 12 naw start aug 1. I said no matter what day it is of my cycle?? sure. now I was under the impression from what he said 3 months ago that it worked with my excess estrogen and that is why you take it at a certain time.... so I wasnt very impressed when he didnt even tell me he changed it. also another question ( sorry so long!) I told him that from day 12- 25 while on the prometrium i have absolutely NO sex drive not even a tad. he said never heard of that, laughed and said well take a time out a break. didnt find that too professional as i just wanted to know if that was a symptom or what. on the other hand he is very good at making sure i have ultrasounds done to check the fibroid, has done biopsy to check uterine tissue etc.. and here in NS canada not easy to get into a dr. i do have bvery bad pains off and on where i thought the fibroid was but he said it is higher that is nearer the ovary so now he will make sure they check that area in the ultrasound. i also told hima friend just had ovarian cancer so wanted to make sure. any responses will be interesting as I am curious about this. oh and do any of you know about vitE and vit B6 as a help for these porblems a friends dr told her to take that and she feels great. thanks cindy
