Guest guest
Hi Vicki- what kind of blood testing is done for OA?? I haven't heard of any. That overnight thing you describe- I must be obsessed, but that sounds more like RA. I guess I'm having trouble distinguishing the 2, though I know there are a lot of differences. Mainly, that wear and tear OA does tend ot hit older folks simply as a course of aging. And that trauma/injuries such as you had certainly are the cause of some of it--- but then why your foot? Funny- the times I've had my sed rate tested were not the times I felt the worse- now Iwish I'd gotten tested at the rheumatologist during last summer when I felt so extra horrible. Guest guest
.... I can't tell you about the blood tests, only that they were done. I can't remember what he said it was he was looking for in the blood. I do remember him showing me the counts of each test and when the count shot up.... and my fingers really hurt... it was diagosed as OA. He was a specialist in Arthritis. I do not have RA. That's been confirmed. I think I already had OA way before the ankle got it. Throughout the years I've injured myself a lot. The day before I had been out running so I thought I might have done something to it. I remember the doctor telling me that it wasn't unusual for it to hit like that....
