RPWF “ TAKING HOLD OF FUTURE DREAMS TO CLOSE THE DOOR ON HIV RNP+ is a community based charitable nodal organization working for improving the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS and protecting their basic rights since 2002. It is a non-governmental organization which links HIV-positive people with each other so that efforts against stigma and discrimination, and toward more rights and services for affected people, are strengthened by the active and full participation of PLHIV. The presence of network and its effective and meaningful involvement is absolutely vital for gathering public support, striking their emotional chord, and showing the government that positive voices are effective and cooperative. In order to strengthen the capacity of the network, Rajasthan Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS (RNP+) has planned to re unify our sister concern RPWF (Rajasthan Positive women forum which was formulated earlier but not socially activated . Ongoing conversation and strategic planning is required to foster shared visions, for this purpose a one day meeting will be organized in Jaipur on 17th July 2008. The meeting will be held at the RNP+ secretariat office, 64, mahadevnagar , chitrakoot , vaishali nagar from 10.30 am to 4.30 PM . Around 20 selected positive women from various districts in Rajasthan will participate in this meeting . In addition a face to face meeting /press conference is also pre arranged at 6 PM to share the RPWF meeting results. The specific objectives of RPWF meeting a)To engage people living with / affected by HIV in Rajasthan to envision the possibilities for Positive people’s networks in creating a better response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Rajasthan To formulate strategies that will engage funders, PLHIV, and other stakeholders in addressing issues faced by People living with HIV with special reference to children infected and affected those who are living in their targets with out most basic amenities. The dream conceived would be ‘A Rajasthan that is free of Stigma and discrimination, where HIV infection is a manageable disease with affordable access to care and support provisions and where PLHIV enjoy free and equal rights.
