NIH and genetics

Just thought I'd throw out a message with more info on genetics testing. I

understand the National Institute of Health does a fair amount of research

on genetics and hearing loss/deafness. When we went in for the CT scan back

in early December, Boys Town told me that the NIH was doing some sort of

study based on the theory that only a certain percentage of cases of

EVA/LVAS were detectable through CT scans -- and that MRI's could detect the

cases that CT scans missed. They told us that, if we wanted, they could

check into a research opportunity for us with NIH for an MRI -- which I

never pursued (so sick of tests!). Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone who

is interested in the EVA or genetics info know that the NIH is a good source

of info.
