Hi Anne... You asked me about my wheelchair. It's an Everest & Jennings ultra light model and is actually quite old. My Grandparents bought it for me about 15 years ago, and I use it when I have any long distance walking to do. I use a walker normally, you saw it at the Fla. aldacon, but I become awfully tired fast. Much moreso nowadays too. I have oscalopsia (sp?) which makes me very very dizzy also. When the time comes where I'll need to 24/7 the wheelchair, I plan to get a new one, one where the legs (feet rests) will remove, or don't extend so far out, allowing better access to the counters. I saw this site for nice ultra-lights (http://www.caremedical.com/ccs/ultralightwc.htm), but I'm sure you can find alot more at a med supply store, or on the web. Fifteen years ago the insurance companies were "not hip" to the ultra-lights, they wanted me in a hospital one, however I'm not sure what the insurance co's do about them now. Anyone know?

Jennette
