Hi there! First of all (and most importantly), I hope all goes well for the

upcoming

surge of surgeries for people and that they and others feel our presence during

recoveries. Strength and healing vibes... some days are better than others, so

hang in

there...

How many knee tumors is this now for us all? Those suckers are painful!!! I

had one

behind my right knee... it was huge! I prolly went way too long in pain before

doing

something about it, so it turned into an inpatient procedure for me. I also

remember a

really sharp pain in my big toe and shooting sharp pains in my leg.

The neat thing is (other than my being able to walk and without the pain now),

there had

been a patch of skin on the outside of my ankle that was numb after surgery.

After a

couple years, the feeling gradually returned. The body's capacity for healing

is

amazing.

Anyhow, what I started to write for was to see if any people had experience with

their

state's vocational rehabilitation program to get services for education and/or

job

training. I would like to exchange experiences as I am trying to maneuvre

through the

system now and am facing a great deal of resistance. I feel like I am being

discriminated against by an agency that supposedly exists to reduce societal

discrimination against people with disabilities. I think I'd be alright if I

was just

deaf, but since I have NF2, it seems like they are less willing to allocate

funds for

accessing resources that would make me more employable.

Oh yeah, welcome to all our new members! You're in great company. When I

joined 4

years ago, I asked tons of questions right off the bat and found a whole lot of

guidance

and comraderie. The funny thing is, the list is what you make it... so if

you're

interested in something, you should throw a topic or question out there to get

people

talking. Now there's always the option of searching the archive, too, but

mail's been

slow lately, so the dialogue would do us good. My Best,
