Guest guest
It's interesting to note that all of the following support eating nuts, but only in limited amounts: Natural Hygiene (raw vegan) community; mainstream allergy physicians; Elaine. When this diversity of people agree on a topic, it's worth listening to!I'm still looking for a "flour" that involves no nuts and a baking recipe that is not egg dependent (my son reacts). Our only baked goods for 10-11 weeks has been once weekly cookies made of squash/carrots/cinnamon/cashew butter (they are yummy, though!).BadenIf one can keep nut consumption (which is what Elained cautioned us to do anyway. She didn't want us eating too much nut flour in any one day anyway) _

Guest guest
Well, the diet part of GAPS is SCD, so the same -McBride specifically says "GAPS patients should have coconut on a regular basis". In the GAPS book, she actually talks about coconut for quite a few paragraphs. She states that, with all food items, one would preferably access it whole and fresh, working with it from there. (She doesn't like hydrogenated, or otherwise refined, foods.)It would be introduced at some point after the 4-8 week intro progression, as determined by the individual's tolerance.BadenWhat is GAPS perspective on Coconuts?__
