World AIDS Day 2008 - Make a Commitment

Dear Friends and Partners,

Greetings From AIDS Healthcare Foundation India Cares!!!

Whereas the World Health Organization estimates that 33 million

people currently are living with HIV/AIDS globally;

Whereas the World Health Organization estimates 9.7 million people

are in urgent need of lifesaving Anti Retroviral Treatment (ART) today;

Whereas less than 3 million of them have access to ART today;

Whereas as the vast majority of people living with HIV/AIDS are

unaware of their HIV status;

AIDS Healthcare Foundation has committed to a worldwide, united effort to Test

One Million people on World AIDS Day 2008. The event will be a week long one

starting a week before the World AIDS Day until the eve and continuing

thereafter wherever possible.

We are seeking for commitments from our partners and friends to participate in

this event by committing to provide some support like:

Performing HIV Screening

Mobilization and Outreach

Transportation to testing services

Or Any Other Support to the Campaign

The Campaign Organizer, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, will organize HIV

Screening Training and provide Test Kits for this event for those partners who

sign on the letter of commitment and commit for some activity.
