Guest guest
I have been receiving e-mails and text messages all day from one of my very favourite granddaughters. She is now in Junior High School and apparently experiencing some form of cognitive ecstacy. She has recently created a list of internet/e-mail abbreviations for me to use in posting to her; it struck me that others might enjoy these. Here goes, courtesy of my favourite granddaughter: 1) POL = Power to Old Ladies 2) POGL = Power to Groups of Old Ladies, e.g,. MS, etc. 3) POW = not prisoner of war, but: Power of Women 4) PDGS = Pretty Doggoned Smart (can be applied to men, too); 5) WOT = Way Out There; 6) PBI = Pretty Bright Idea 7) WNN - Why Not Now? And the list goes on; she sends me about forty per week, most absolutely hilarious; last month she sent me, among many others: VPWS = Victory for People With MS (women and men, of course) I think that I am getting sort of giddy; the events of the day made me really strange. . . Love to each of you, n, POL, 70.5+ wMS
Guest guest
What a riot, n. I would have to write them down on a post it note and stick it to the computer! I could never remember these! Of course, that means when typing, I would be even slower as I would have to scroll down the llist to see if there anything I could use! LOL Would look something like: Hi everyone......................................(looking at list). Gotta tell you................................(looking again at list). Did you see the..........................................(and again!). I think it would take me hours to write an email. What's funnier is knowing that you are doing the same thing while trying to read and find out what the abbreviations stood for! ROFL!!!! Can't you just envision all of us trying to read these! We would have a lot less emails in the group. We would be spending most of the time translating!
