Guest guest
Dear Friends, Down down ITP(A) - MPs, Ministers are marching with the sex workers Durbar is going to hold a public meeting protesting the proposed amendments of ITP(A) on 7th October 2007 in Kolkata. Since the amendments were proposed we are campaigning against it at every level - from sex workers to Prime Minister. For the sensible intervention of Kapil Sibal and P. Chidambaram, central cabinet defers the Bill for the next session of parliament. Due to our relentless campaign, we win over much support even from the higher echelon of political leaders. We believe it is an imperative that we must convince and win the mass and the political leaders by the time the bill is placed in parliament. For this purpose and to reinvigorate the campaign we are going to hold a massive public meeting in Sonagachi, Kolkata. Local MPs and MLAs and few state Ministers will participate in the meeting. Dignitaries from all over the country will join the meeting. The meeting is going to be a huge public demonstration of the efficacy and responsibility of the sex workers in fighting HIV/AIDS.
