Guest guest
http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=53785 For those interested; it gives a very different impression than does the book. I myself was diagnosed (accurately, alas!) wMS in 1956, when I was 19 years old. I was advised by Roy Swank, M.D. and his successors to look out when crossing streets, and if I was careful, that I might live to great old age, with MS. I was told about the more severe forms ofthe disease, but was also told that it was unlikely that I had a more severe form. I have come to understand that ANY form of MS CAN and in my situation, HAS gotten worse--but I am still kicking. I notice that the adds for Prescription Assistance on TV show Montel YEARS AGO loading boxes of drugs. I just assume that he is more concerned about keeping the prescription program going than about his own immage. Marijuana is legal here in California; however obtaining a supply is a serious problem. One would think that it could be put into a capsule for legal Rx use! Not for me, though! I understand the man's having gone for years without a clear diagnosis, as one does not really " get it " until it hits--which for me was a few years after I was diagnosed, due to severe optic neuritis; then I got to experience the RIDE of rotational vertigo! Cheers to you all, n, your friendly neighborhood LINK lady. . .
