Guest guest Posted March 21, 2001 Report Share Posted March 21, 2001 Hello everyone, I subscribed to this forum two days ago and was amazed to find so many emails today. I read them all and was interested to see the ones about the Pill. My first bout of Urtacaria was diagnosed about 4 years ago. I had swelling, welts on my back and legs and the blisters below the skin surface. The doctor prescribed Cortisone and antihistamines. I think the cortisone worked better. My condition lasted about two months. The following year at about the same time I had Urtacaria again, although less severe, just the blisters. Does anyone else get this???? Just before I have a severe itch, I can see, what looks like little silver specks on my palms. They look very much like tiny sweat beads on the palms of my hands. Does this have any signifigance????? To correct a medical problem I had, I was put back on the Pill last month. Lo and behold I have Urtacaria again. Last week I had the itching and spots. At the time of my first experience with Urtacaria, I think I was on the pill then too. I can't remember if I was the second time though. I thank you for sharing your experiences here. It has helped me understand this a bit better as no one else I know has had this.
