15th Counseling Skills Development Training Course

Counseling Skills Development Training course on Voluntary Counseling and

Testing organized by GAP –ISRCDE in Sept.8-11 2008.

GAP-ISRCDE is one of the premier organizations in India working for last 20

years in HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

We invite application for the Counseling Skills Development of counselors

interested in voluntary counseling and Testing.

So far GAP trained more than 750 counselors from India and abroad who are now

extending services from different Government and non-government organizations.

This unique training module developed by GAP with the help of London Lighthouse,

a U.K.based organization.

This training program aims to equip the participants with communication and

counseling skills, HIV/AIDS, Sex & Sexuality, Legal & Ethical issues. The module

has been especially developed for the counselors attached to ICTC and VCTC.

The course will be highly interactive, and attention will be given on each

participant so that they can give their bests to the clients, especially rural

based clients. Certificate will be given to each participant who will complete

the course.

Course language will be Gujarati.

Workshop will be of 4 days duration and Registration fee is Rs.2000/= per

person, which includes 4 lunches, and reading materials. The outstation

participants will have to organize their own stay during the course period and

GAP cannot take any responsibilities in this respect. Only 20 participants will

be accepted per course on first come first serve basis. The course venue is GAP

Training Center, Ahmedabad.
