Ref: Posting about breach of confidentiality - Namakkal ART center was actually

not breach of confidentiality.

On Dec 1 World AIDS Day Programme was being celebrated in the city, as part of

it was a rally conducted by health department headed by district collector.

When the rally ended, the collector came here. Then the wife of the xxx patient

approached him amidst press persons and she made her husbands HIV status public

and requested financial assistance from the government

In this regard we, the offcials cannot stop an individual from making her

husbands status public. The patients here are more clear about their status, so

let us not stigmatise it. In no way it can be considered as breach of

confidentiality by the Namakkal ART center
