Dear Forum,

The Bangalore HIV and AIDS Forum, is organizing its next monthly meeting on the

topic " *Vulnerabilities of Children to HIV and Protecting the rights of Children

Living with HIV " * on October 26, 2007 at CRI Brothers , Bangalore from 2.30pm -

5.30pm .

The meeting is a joint effort of 35 organizations working actively on HIV and

AIDS. The Forum has been meeting every third Friday of the month for the last

two years and brings together NGOs, activists and positive people to share new

learning's on varied issues and help plan and implement joint programmes and

campaigns.

As we know too well, the fight against HIV and AIDS will take decades. But by

coming together to share best practices and develop innovative strategies, we

can aggressively confront HIV and AIDS and help reduce its impact on children.

The purpose of this meeting is to mobilize participation and contributions of

major child rights organizations on the issue of

Vulnerabilities of Children to HIV and Protection of the rights of Children

Living with HIV " and to develop effective coalitions. The objective is to

arrive at joint plans for Children's Day, World AIDS Day and other significant

days. The meeting will be an opportunity to consider together the strategic

issues.
