The morphine only relaxed my body not my head. I just wanted out of there. They weren't going to do anything else. I think they thought I was a medicaid recepient looking for handouts. That's how I felt by the dr. I told him I didn't want pain meds. What do I get? morphine.

Re: I am home from the ER

Wow I guess you had a hugeeeeeeeeeee MIGRAINE. Your BP was through the roof. Why didn't they give you a mega dose of dilaudid and vistiril (spelling). That's what they give me bcs morphine doesn't help me at all. Demerol does with the visteril and dilaulid does too. Demerol actually helps the best but they don't give that in ER's anymore, someone died after going home after getting it. I usually in an urgent care place get 100mg or 125 mg of demerol and 100 mg of visterol (spelling again LOL). Usually takes 3 shots. If they give me dilaudid which is the most commonly used thing in the ER I get 2 mg and sometimes have to get another dose before going home. I hope you are feeling better. I hope the excitement was worth it LOL.

Hey all. I guess the excitement of the NY Giants winning got to me...lol I had a migraine like I've never had before. My BP was 204/114 when I got to the ER. That was proof of my pain. My wonderful Sister-In-Law, Angie, picked me up after I called her around 3:40 am. when the morphine dulled the pain by 2 pts. I was put in THE worst room for having a migraine.

Why I can't sleep now I don't know. I have to wake up at 9 to call my docs to get appointments.

If any West-siders of Indy are available today to take me to pick up my Jeep I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks. Dad works today. If I don't answer my phone please leave a message. The buzz of the message will possibly wake me up. I have a script to fill for Midrin also but need my vehicle to do it. Who knows when I will check my e-mail.

I managed it all, but didn't like having to deal with it by myself. Again, being single sucks! I know my buddies would have been there for me too. I couldn't do it since it was so late when the migraine hit. But you gals understand it's not the same and having the S.O. there in the ER with you is a good thing...lol

p.s. WTG NY Giants. The Mannings RULE the NFL!!!

Have a great week everyone.
