Guest guest
It's really hard to say. Lately I have been experiencing a lot of cognitive problems (like I can't remember anything from like 6pm on everyday. I am completely blanking on everything. Also, I have learned that there are some uncomfortable symptoms of MS that are just that symptoms and not an exascerbation. The more rest you can get the better. Can you basically quit everything as soon as you get home from work? Get into jammies have easy dinner and rest the rest of the night. To help you fight the big days you have at work. Let us know what the doctor says! This disease is really hard. For many years I suffered one way and then it was great for a long time and now it's always there and turning on me in new and harder ways. Only your doctor can tell if it is symptoms or a new exacerbation. Good luck with the doctor. onesmartcookie77 wrote: Hello, everyone. I am a 39yr old F. Live in FL. I was Dxd in March2007. Via MRI, done b/c I was having an exacerbation (left arm andhand unusable) at the time which eventually went away with the help ofsteroid infusion. I have been on Avonex since that day. No realproblems since. But for the last 4 weeks, have been having symptomsthat are taking a long time to go away:Slight numbing - pins and needles feelings in both legsSmall blurriness in lower middle segment of left eyeBowel incontinence (anti-diarrhea meds are the best!)Walking is going ok but the dizziness that comes with it and makes methink I am going to keel over in one direction or another is highlyproblematicI am an office manager and the job is really stressful, so I amaggressively doing yoga in an effort to keep me calm. I cannotpossibly POSSIBLY afford not to work OR to not be working this exactjob during the long periods of time it would take to get Disability,if they would even approve me. I guess I amreally just writing in hopes that someone out there can tell me thatwhat I am experiencing is just SYMPTOMS, and not an EXACERBATION. Whatdo you think???Thank you! Never miss a thing. Guest guest
{{{}}} It is hard to say when a symptom is going to go away. With RRMS, I have found that some symptoms last for several weeks. Some for several months. And then, there are some, that just don't go away. If you are only having a flare up, they usually disappear fairly quickly. Exacerbations tend to last longer. Now, this is how MS used to work for me. I say used to, because I believe my MS has progressed, leaving me with some long-term effects that have lasted for well over a year. MS as you may know, is not the same for everyone. When we refer to it as the MonSter, this is one reason why. It is so unpredictable. I'm sorry if I just made you feel worse. Really. I'll lift you in prayer and think positive thoughts that you will go into remission quickly. Love and blessings... Val wrote: Hello, everyone. I am a 39yr old F. Live in FL. I was Dxd in March2007. Guest guest
Hi , Are you not happy with the Neuro you have? Are you able to see someone else? I got such a kick out of this: "so I am aggressively doing yoga in an effort to keep me calm." LOL Now that appeals to my sense of humor! LOL Do you go to a "class" or do the Yoga yourself at home? With a DVD/VHS, or from memory or... ? I do hope these symtoms will ease for you very soon. HUGS, Challis ~No dx, but lots of symtoms My Mom has MS (Our loving leader on MSersLife).
