INVITING APPLICATIONS FROM NGOs

Gujarat State AIDS Control Society (GSACS) established by the Gujarat

Government as a society under the society registration act, under

guidelines of National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) for working

on prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in the state of Gujarat.

One of the activities of GSACS is to work with the NGOs to implement

targeted intervention projects with High Risk Behavior Groups for

prevention & control of HIV/AIDS.

In this reference the applications are invited from the Registered

NGOs/CBOs, Professional bodies & Government agencies for working with

the following target groups & in all districts of Gujarat.

1. Commercial Sex Workers (CSWs)

2. Men having Sex with Men (MSM)/Trans Gender

3. Injecting Drug Users (IDUs)

Application Criteria:

1. Applicant must be having minimum 3 years of Registered Society

or trust (for CBO minimum 1 year) . Preference will be given to

the NGOs/ CBOs with experience in the field of HIV/AIDS/MCH/RCH.

2. Only NGOs/CBOs with tangible presence in Gujarat may apply.

3. Annual Report and Auditor reports for the last 3 years are

produced. (2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07)

4. Bye-laws to be produced.

5. The NGO/CBO group should be registered under the Societies Registration act

1860, or Charitable and Religion Act of 1920 or

under the Indian Trust Act -1982 or ative professional bodies.

6. The NGO / CBO must have good track record in Community Health

Care in the area of operation.

7. All existing NGO/CBO partners of GSACS must have to apply.

The application form will be available on non-refundable Cash payment

of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) on working days between 11.00 a.m. to

4.00 p.m. except on 2nd & 4th Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday,

within 15 days of publishing of the advertisement, at the following

requested to pay Rs.50 at the time of submission.

All the above correspondence and documents must be submitted to

Project support unit in a sealed envelope. Within 15 days of

publishing of the advertisement.
