Guest guest
Good morning, At 12:30 today I will be seeing Dr. Apatoff of the newly formed Judith Jafee Center for Multiple Sclerosis. I had seen him probably over a year ago, and now I'm heading in for a long over-due follow-up. Pretty much the focus of my meeting with him will be my concerns regarding Tysabri, and this new report on melonoma. My mom has had a few spots of such, and my dad's brother had melonama that metastasized to his liver and he died in his early 60's...so, that is one concern. The other is, I need to take benadryl each and every time I receive Tysabri--does this mean I'm allergic to it? I think perhaps so. But, if I were to stop Tysabri, how con- cerned should I be with the 'rebound' effects reported when stopping. i.e., there are those whose lesions multiplied like crazy when stopping it. Lastly, should I consider LDN? Dr. Apatoff is one of few MS specialists I under- stand, who is prescribing LDN. These are my questions. Sound legit? Any I'm missing? thank you for all your support and wisdom! love to all for a great day. always, kate
