Do you have a lap top you can take with you. In Maine we are allowed to bring

in lap tops with us to the hospital. It is how I kept up with everyone while I

was in the hospital for 3 weeks.

I had surgery on my jaw to remove three quarters of my bottom jaw bone. Then it

got a serious infection and they had to remove more of my jaw bone including

part of the top jaw bone. That is why I was there for 3 weeks.

then I had to have a port put in my upper chest to have an IV put in twice a day

for really powerful antibiotic plus I have to take 2 oral antibiotics for 6

weeks.

I'll tell ya it was hard going to the ER twice a day for 6 long weeks last

January during snow storms. My computer was my best friend.

Do you have a laptop and if so does the hospital have internet? I hope that

you do because that can help pass the time when you are stuck there without

friends. I know because I had no family when I had to be in the hospital last

year. At least I could get on and checi my email each day. I can call you too

I neither own a laptop nor a cell phone. I cannot afford either one.

The hospital has wifi access in the patient's rooms along with access in many

other places.

They have cable TV, but very few channels to choose from!! Crud!! If I

don't want to watch one of those few channels, I could always watch the

closed-circuit cameras in the nursery and see the new born babies!! Thanks!!

I'll pass on that one!!
