Guest guest
Dear Donna: Call 999 and go to the emergency room anyway. At least they might be able to evaluate you again and perhaps find out what is going on. If they say that they will not interfere with your GP, tell them that he hasn't been able to get a plan going for you since you haven't been able to see him or that you've fired him - anything to get them to do the tests that you need. Insist that they do tests if you have to. Tell them that you can't bear the pain and are desperate for relief from it. I just can't understand how you can be in such distress and they won't even test to see what's going on. Threaten to go to the media if they will not try to find what is going on. It is not right that they are not trying to find what is wrong. Here in the States, when you go the ER, they usually run a standard round of blood tests or x-rays if you suspect a break. Chest pain is something that they should never ignore, whether it's coming from your back or your stomach or chest wall. I hope that you will try again. I know it is so frustrating. I've had a couple of times where I went in and they said that they found nothing, then had them tell me to come back if I didn't get any better, so I've gone back and then they've had to run more tests. Usually on the second visit, the problem has been found. Once I took my daughter in when she was 8 years old because she was having terrible lower abdominal pain. They said they thought it was a bladder infection and gave her antibiotics and sent her home. I knew that it wasn't. She was ill all night and I took her back in the morning and they did more tests and found that she had appendicitis and had to have her appendix removed immediately. Good luck! I hope you can get some help and relief soon! - PA Donna M R Griffiths wrote: Well I thought that I had left all the pain in 2010, but it appears that I havn't. It started yesterday morning in my belly and it's now in my back as well.
