Guest guest
Hi everyone, I hope it's as beautiful and sunshiney for everyone else as it is here today! KATHY G., everything's been going well here health-wise, I've just been busy with a lot of other stuff lately, and that's why I haven't been posting as much. I haven't even checked e-mail some days, which is pretty unusual for me ;-) I think 's post a/b the carjacking was a regular list post, it was just burried at the bottom of her message or something. I miss things too, and wonder if all posts actually make it into the digests, or more likely, I just don't read as well in my old age, LOL. I hope everythings going better for you, it sounds like you were pretty down for a while. Oh, as for Meagan's Kindergarten options next year, our school has a grant limiting all K and 1st grade classes to 15 students next year, but because of space limitations, they're going to put two classes in one room and have 2 teachers in there (a lousey option for us-- I want the lower kid count). At our school, kids with special education needs are split up among all the classrooms. Oh, just read your later post-- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ASHLEY! JENNIE, I'm so glad 's PICC went in without any disasters-- guess your family was due for a break! It sounds like he's being such a grown up little guy about the whole thing-- you do a great job with your little munchkins. BRENDA S., have you tried Pedialyte push-up pops? Meagan likes them, and they've got the electrolytes and such that are so important when they're getting dehydrated. Walgreens sells them in their freezer section where we are. Gatorade is our other big weapon against dehydration around here. I think you're right to be concerned, and if she's junky, it sure sounds like a pulm issue to me. I'd go ahead and see the ped., that way SOMEONE listens to her chest at least, and if she sounds bad, then you can call back and report to the pulm. We usually only actually see the pulm off-schedule for emergency situations, or when M's been sick for a long time and just isn't getting better. We have the ped look M. over, see how she sounds, and then report back to the pulm. Does have an asthma element to her respiratory stuff? This could explain a sudden junky chest with a virus, even though the chest X-ray was clear. And it is definitely a pulm issue, and one that might require more meds (possibly inhaled or oral steroids if she doesn't improve). Sinus infections can trigger a lot of asthma, and Meagan has a heck of a time with her asthma when her sinsues get bad. Good luck! BRENDA M., I hope you can straighten the insurance thing out soon. That's got to be a major stress headache for you. Best of luck with it all! JENNIE, leave it to you to come up with a brand new sort of infection to deal with. Other than mits on the little hands, I guess I'm short on ideas on this one. Have you tried the ped nurse for advice? If it's any consolation, Meagan teethed on ME, so I was the one bleeding and infected (and yes, we're talking about a breastfeeding situation here). She got two teeth at 3 months, and she liked to chew.... Good luck with JoJo's poor little thumbs, ouch! As for us, well, I've been waiting for 6 and 1/2 hours for the nurse to call back with M's culture results from last Thursday. I know they're probably just busy, but then I start wondering if they actually found something " yucky " and they're waiting till our pulm can call us herself (I know, like I don't have better things to waste my time thinking about, LOL). bye, , mom of Meagan 5 (cf and asthma) and Kailin 7 (asthma)
