Guest guest
Marta, I bought my battery at Walmart six years ago (seventy dollars ) and it has a three year warranty, each time it went out within the three year period. Each time I turned it in that battery was good for three years so I did not have to pay for two new batteries and this one is good for three years. My tires have the warranties for five dollars a tire and the road hazard. It is part of living as you say Marta and we just got notice that my husband is losing his job. I cannot do anything to work but I admire you for what you do especially with a disabled daughter. Please call 211 to see if you can get some local support also as you deserve it for what you deal with. Also, Marta, I do not know if your state has the medical necessity portion of Social Security but maybe check there also. I think of you often and your perseverance. If I win the lotto, I will look you up : ) Hang in there, Sweetie, I know worrying effects pain and I am an internal worrier and others think I am strong but I try to be proactive and look at options as if you don't, you will be swallowed in depression. Thinking of you. Bennie
Guest guest
I just had to spent $177 for two front tires for my car. it was an OUCH expense, but necessary, as the old ones were showing wire. Budgeting is very important when you are on a fixed income. your husband should have a severance package and be eligible for unemployment, that will tide you over. You'll have to tighten your belt, but I have faith that you can do it. it's just a matter of looking hard at the outgoing money and finding where it can be cut. Things like lunch. Rather than spend $10 for lunch at a restaurant, make something at home. If you HAVE to eat out, all the fast foods have a dollar menu and some are pretty good. At Mcs, you can get a salad for $1, add a Tea for $1 and you have lunch for $2. Beats $10 for a meal at a restaurant. Take a drink with you when you leave the house, that way you won't be tempted to stop and spend $1 or more for a drink. And make all your errands due on one or two days..saves on gas. There are lots of things you can do.if I can help, please let me know. I'm an expert at making money stretch, LOL Marta >Bennie wrote: Marta, I bought my battery at Walmart six years ago (seventy dollars ) and it has a three year warranty, each time it went out within the three year period.
