Greetings from Bal Sansar!

We, Bal Sansar team feel immense pleasure while inviting you on the inaugural

function of our 15-bedded Sambal Community Care Center (CCC) for the People

Living with and Affected by HIV and AIDS (PLHA), at village Hathikhera, Ajmer,

Rajasthan.

The project is funded by HLFPPT (10 bedded CCC as per the NACO guidelines) and 5

additional beds are dedicated to the AIDS orphans with the support from

individual donors and corporate partners.

One of the priority areas of Bal Sansar’s is working with the people living

with HIV and AIDS in terms of reaching out to them, make them feel comfortable

accepting their HIV status and in associating with available services. Sambal

aims to link them with ART, treat them for their opportunistic infections,

provide nutritional support, emotional, social, spiritual counseling and other

needed   support helping them with treatment education and home based care

issues. The project also aims to provide them with information on their legal,

human rights, and livelihood options, etc. with a special attention to the care

needs of the children infected with HIV and AIDS orphans.

 

The infrastructure development for ‘Sambal’ is done with private

contributions and the support from the MPLAD and MLALAD Schemes executed through

PWD, under the MoU between District Collector, Ajmer and Bal Sansar Sanstha. The

‘Sambal’ building is ready to be dedicated to public; the inaugural ceremony

is planned as follows:
