Guest guest
Becky, I had horrible pain from c-spine surgery " gone wrong " . I had and still have a degree of nerve pain. In using the occipital neuro-stimulator, the guys from St. Jude are able to create different programs for me that help different regions of pain from my head, to my neck, shoulders and upper back I get huge unbearable knots in my upper back from Fibro, but it originates from my neck. The nerve pain tends to throw everything into spasm. I consider a level 10 in pain, when you are in tears and the pain makes you nauseated as well. I had that level of pain almost every day before the stimulator. I know if I had not have gotten the infection and the right electrode had not moved from where it had been anchored, I would be much better off. Before my insurance would approve this, I had to with stand three growling occipital nerve blocks. Each one given to me at different times. They proved very effective, so I was approved for the trial and then the implant. I wish you the best. My stimulator is made by Eon, I believe. Thedoctors keep telling me that's my problem so I'm wandering if I need to look into that.
