Hello list:

- - my foster daugter, a, cultured

Klebsiella (along with 6 other organisms)when she was

first admitted to Children's. But she has not cultured

it or Candadia in the last 9 months.

I have really enjoyed this group even though I've not

been able to participate much in recent weeks. You are

an incredible source of information and support. I

recieved several sweet emails asking about the girl's,

thank you for thinking of us. a turned 6 yrs old

yesterday so we had a birthday party. The girl's had

full PFTs done for the very first time last Monday and

I was very proud of them. We had been practicing for

about 6 weeks on PFTs. I got their sputum culture and

radiology reports in the mail Sat. along with the

other testing (PFTS, O2 sats and blood work). Because

they are in medical foster care, a full report of each

appointment is sent to HRS, myself, the girl's

attorney and their mother's attorney, and the family

court judge. I could really use some help because I

feel completley lost about the meaning of these test

results when compared to other children with CF of

similar age. Because I've only worked the PICU for the

last 12 years I've only had the opportunity to see the

sickest CF children or CFer's having a serious health

crisis - not the day to day functioning and

comparision to other CF children their age. I will try

to type out some of their results tomarrow or Tues.

and I would be so greatful for any insight, thoughts

or comparison that anyone might give.

smoothly.
