Books are ordered and on their way

Well, I finally placed my orders for soap related books. There were so many

to choose from! I didn't know which ones were the best because I suppose

everyone has their favourites, but these are the ones I have

ordered... (At least the prices between the US and UK Amazon's weren't too

bad.)

** " Country Living Handmade Soap : Recipes for

Crafting Soap at Home " - £10.85 (approx. US$17.90 -

sold at the US Amazon for $13.97)

** " The Natural Soap Book : Making Herbal and

Vegetable-Based Soaps " - £8.14 (approx. US$13.43 -

sold at the US Amazon for $11.96)

** " Making Soap for Fun and Profit " - (3-5 wk wait) £8.14

(approx. US$13.43 - sold at the US Amazon for $14.95)

Unfortunately, I ordered them all separately. ( That means shipping and

handing cost me more than it should have. Total shipping was £8.37 ($13.81)

which is about £3.40 ($5.61) more than I would have spent if I had ordered

them together. Live and learn I guess, but I seriously wanted them all. It

took vast amounts of willpower not to order everything I could find.

I can't wait for them to arrive. I get so antsy when I see someone on the

list talking about their batch of soap so hopefully mine will get here soon

so I get soaping!

I will try to take part in the co-ops on the list when they come around, but

I have to find out if it will be worth it for me to do it or if I can get

things cheaper here in the UK. Prices may be cheaper in the US for oils but

with shipping charges, it could really do me in. It just depends on the

weight of the box being shipped. However, the molds are bound to be light

and I know they're really expensive here so that's one co-op I will

definitely be in on.

And thanks to everyone who have been posting recipes. I'm saving them all

and putting them in their own file.
