Guest guest
Lyndie, Do y'all use DSM IV? I kept reading " Axis " for all of those " Access " notations, but that's because I'm used to DSM IV. Axis I is clinical disorders, Axis 2 is personality disorders, Axis 3 is medical conditions, Axis 4 is psychosocial and environmental problems, and Axis 5 is global assessment. Sorry I can't help with your sound-alike. Chronic Foot pain preventing you from standing at work to do your tasks or preventing them is a justification for disability. The Social Security Office scheduled me appointments to their Doctors, both a primary care to review my Back problem and Psychiatrist to evaluate Depression. You need to document your physical activity and the Social Security website has an excellent evaluation explanation to review your conditions. When I went to the Psychiatrist, I was honest that there are times I feel that I could just go to sleep and not wake up, I feel I have no purpose in life anymore and that I deal with issues that really leave me overwhelmed. When you go on disability, they have a Return to Work option that they also provide training for other jobs that might fit your life more. I found the Social Security representatives I spoke to, were so helpful and the site explains the process very well. Like I mentioned, Documentation is very important and getting a copy of your Work Description from you company's work manual is really important to review you Job Description and your chronic pain condition prevents you from doing the tasks.
