Lori, Last year I noticed alot of this at our Great Strides as well, and they

didn't even bother to leave the area of the crowd.... this year I didn't

notice it as much, but maybe I was distracted trying to keep up with 7 kids

and make sure Mallory's picc line/iv's were running ok (because the picc had

quit working the night before, we were off schedule and ended up running her

iv's in the middle of the walk...)

Take care,

Jen

Dear Kathy G and Mandy,

The question of smoking at Great Strides, or elsewhere, is a real problem.

Here in our home it is the one thing that may someday cause a divorce, in

what is actually a pretty good marriage. My husband smokes, despite having

had a heart attack at age 37, major pneumonia which left him with one lung

only partially functional last year, and of course, there is our daughter

with CF. All I can say is that it must be the most horrendous addiction

around, and I am SO glad I never took it up. And I truly don't think all

smokers understand how nasty it is to be around.
