Guest guest
On Feb. 21st I had surgery to remove the top left screw from last July's 4-level fusion. Okay, so I came home, thought I was getting better, and suddenly ended up in the ER late Friday evening (which is not a good time to be in a midtown hospital ER) and had emergency surgery on Saturday morning. This time he opened up the whole original incision and removed all the rest of the screws, rods and crossbraces, then slathered the whole thing with antibiotics and sewed me back up. I got home yesterday, but I'm on some blammo antibiotics for a " mild " MRSA. Have you ever heard of a " mild " MRSA? How dangerous is this stuff, really? My bone growth seems to be good at all levels, so the fusion should hold even without the scaffolding now. But I REALLY don't want to do this whole recuperation all over again! Not that I have any choice -- Best to all, in NM
