Injustice Aganist Positive Network in TN

Dear Forum,

One of the pillar on which Positive network is rooted is advocacy. Advocacy

steps have been reducing our burden and has enabled us to reach our voice

against oppression and violence. Based on this, we had been advocacting our

issues and the treatment related issues to the forum and the government. one

similar issue that affected us is pictured descriptively below:

Earlier we were the ey openers  of TANSACS, to the activities of Dr. Rohini,

the then senior medical oficer at the ART centre, Madurai in Tamilnadu. (Dr.

Rohini had been canvasing PLHA at the ART centre to her personal clinic and not

adhereing to the issues of PLHA at the ART centre)

But TANSACS had placed Dr. Rohini in the JAT visit.This oppurtunity proved to

be a golden chance to revenge MDPS+.

When she was supposed to select the positive network for providing the DIC

project, she purposely tuned the JAT committe to revenge her vengence on our

positive network MDPS+.

She made the JAT committe reject the MDPS+application form saying that we had

submitted both the application for DIC and CCC in one form , which was utterly a

flase statement.

This prevented the JAT committe from even shortlisting MDPS+ for the visit.

This was made clear to TANSACS and the collectorate by the MDPS+. But our

justification was denied without a word.

To make things worse Dr. Rohini, the employee at TANSACS ART centre had tuned

more than 10 PLHA against MDPS+ and brought out a silent revolt among the

governing body in MDPS+ and has brought an end to the effective functioning of

MDPS+ in Madurai. This issue had made me resign from MDPS+. When her target was

over she tuned TANSACS and the collectorate to give legal Aid clinic project to

MDPS+ and the DIC to our parallel network.

So far TANSACS was talking  about parallel network and the need for oneness

among positive network.Today please tell us who is responsible for this division

among the network, Is'nt  people like Dr. Rohini, TANSACS responsible for this.

Do they want to create a misunderstanding among PLHA and reduce the

effectiveness of us in bring their rude clold attitude against the network.

2. Is this act of Dr. Rohini  appreciateable?

3. Why has there been unjustice caried out when Positive network fight for their

rights?

4. why should TANSACS appreciate such acts of  a medical profesional by heeding

to her lies and justification and turning a blunt ear to MDPS+ (PLHA network).

we trust and believe that the higher authorities to SACS would listen and pay

attention to us.

We are not for projects alone but we are advocates , whether there be projects

or not we will still advocacte for our rights. We were more competive for

projects since our people will be benefited and would enjoy the servcies of

the government.
