Lyndi,

Sounds like a mini TENS unit to me. It is electrical pulses. I don't know and

haven't heard of it or treatment.

I typed in on the internet " p simulator problems " and got some articles stating

how it does not work and is

over priced. I always do this for things I research, I just put problems on

the end of the subject.

Here is one link www.anesthesia-analgesia.org/content/104/3/542.full

I don't know anything about it and it has to be a personal decision and I hope

it works for you.

Actually it's like electrical acupuncture. I've read many of the pro and

con articles available on the net, but I'd like to talk to people who

have had the treatment for head pain.

My head pain has been so bad lately, it's a wonder I haven't ended up

stark raving mad. I have gained four more brain lesions and another

stroke in the last month and a half. Thankfully the stroke didn't hit

anything critical. The many lesions I have are causing some problems

now. I have to find some way to get the pain to settle, or the

neurologists (and my body) tell me, that it's going to kill me.

(remembering the days when three aspirin and a few hour's sleep were the

answer:-)

Lyndi,

Doesn't your Doctor who recommended it have patients who could call you and tell

their experiences. I would ask him if he could contact a patient to contact you

and discuss their experiences. It couldn't hurt and it would ease you mind.

I would be so happy if it would work for you and this way it would help you make

a decision. I am sorry about your recent

lesions and stroke.

That " mini " stroke I had from my thyroid condition scared me silly as I did not

know that I was not writing correct verbage and my blood pressure was through

the roof. When I got to the ER and had a brain MRI, the Doctor said I had

Mastoiditis and it is very dangerous if not controlled and I probably had a mini

stroke and had TIA's before that.

I am thinking of Lyndi, and please take care of yourself and after you talk to

someone and make the decision, I hope this P-stimulator helps you. There is not

much on the internet of people stating their experiences so maybe contacting the

Doctors office and asking for a patient that had this contact you.

Let us know what you find out and I will be thinking of you.

Bren,

I understand that, I was referring to the similarity of providing " electrical

impulses " to the pain source, which TENS units so. That was the only point I

was making.

I have been recommended TENS twice in my pain journey and they have really

developed them to even be programmed and have bigger pads

attachments you place on pain area.

None worked for me. So I understand what TENS units provide. Bennie
