Guest guest
Hello, I am scheduled to have the leads to my stimulator removed. The battery and the wires that run down the back of my body will remain. The doctor is going to cap off the electrodes, including the loop. The plan is to let everything heal up completely and then possibly a different specialist can do a different implant of the electrodes and connect them to the wires running to the battery in my right top buttock. The surgery is scheduled for March 4th. I got my lab work done and all of the x-rays yesterday. I had my EKG done this morning and the hospital called to do the pre-admit. So, guess I'm ready to go. It is still depressing, because the stimulator cut my pain by anywhere from 60-80%. I sure hope I can have it done again at some point.
