Guest guest
Hi Ms. Katurah, I am sending gentle hugs across the internet from southern New Mexico to you! That one news caster lady had what sounds like the same thing. Everyone thought she was having a stroke, but it turned out to be a type of migraine. I'm so very glad you are alright! My thoughts and prayers are with you and if I was there, and the hospital would allow, I would bring my two kitties and two doggies in to snuggle with ya and make you feel even better faster! :-P Love, Becky in NM Ms. Katurah wrote: I woke up with a severe headache that was in the wrong spot. They said it wasn't a stroke but a type of migraine that acts like a stroke. But unlike a stroke the body heals faster.
Guest guest
You probably have Todd's Paralysis. I get that too. I have an artery in my brain that is narrower than normal. and when I get a 'migraine' (because it doesn't act like the normal migraine' - I don't get the pain until it is done) it centers around this artery and squeezes it off - cutting off the blood supply - acting like a stroke. The recovery time is much quicker. The length of time of recovery depends on the length of time that the artery is squeezed by the migraine. I am not saying for certain that this is what you are experiencing, but this has happened at least 10 times to me. The first two sending me by helicopter to a major hospital because they thought they were strokes. Just loved hearing those whirlys. I even had to spend three months in a rehab. Hopefully this is what they find for you and they can prevent them. If you feel another coming, and they can get you to a hospital in time, ask your doctor to try compazine. I know it sound crazy, but that is that resolves mine. Colleen
