I learned that shoving it back in worked ONLY if I really really pushed it as far back up as my finger(s)'s length would allow, and it's stayed put all these years later. Helena, Keaven, Yes, you can put it back in but using a hemorrhoid clean that states " cooling effect " does just that and will assist in shrinking the hemorrhoid and I place some inside my rectum also. I just rub it inside and out. Just having this last week and mine are shrunk now, I understand. There is also some pads also called " Tucks " pads and they help in cleaning the area and has something in them that help. Depending on the hemorrhoid and if it is a inflamed or blood filled determines if you should shove them back in : ) If they hurt, I use the stuff I mentioned and then place them back in there : ) I call them " cauliflower patches " . I have seen some bad ones in my career. Good Luck Keaven and let us know how you are. Bennie

Hi Keaven I wouldn't do this, because you might also have internal hemorrhoids unless it was okay with my doctor. Please see one, preferably a gastroenterologist and have a few tests before you do this. If you cannot see one this coming week, please see your family doctor. I am so sorry you have to go through with such misery. Kaylene
