Hi Marta

I am anxiously awaiting insurance approval for the SCS and would like to compare

notes with you later if that's ok.

Good luck!

I need to ask those of you who have or have tried the SCS a few questions. I've

asked my doctor, but he just provides them, he's

never had them. I'm doing the " trial " for 7 days starting May 13.

Provided I survive, SURE, LMAO. Seriously, I'd be happy to talk about it. The

approval process for me has been QUICK. They filed

for it in December, and I WOULD have had it in Feb, but I missed

my psychologist appointment in Feb due to a snowstorm.

Then in March, my grandmother was dying, so I missed that one. I

went in April 4th and by the 6th they were calling to set up the trial.

It has been longer waiting for a free appointment to do the trial than anything

else. So I go in for the trial May 13 and if it's successful, I will hopefully

have the implantation in June. IF it works.

My trial is approved, just had to wait for an opening..which is May 13. I'm a

little worried, but I'm just hoping it helps.

Oh, Marta (I am going to call you that, I like it, just kidding)

Sounds like you got things covered and I hope the best for you.

You have two weeks to rest your mind and not worry. Make a list

of foods you like or think you might want. I always forget that after

procedures and I want something we don't have.

I can't tell you about the spinal cord stimulator because I have

not had it just procedures and surgery and the food problem is

always an issue as I crave different foods after procedures.

Fentanyl makes me nauseated and you might make sure you have something for that

and they usually give a combination but you

might ask. I just wanted to add the things I remembered and I

care that you have good results.

I am thinking of you and make sure you let us know how you do.

If you are nervous, ask you Doctor to prescribe you something beforehand, as my

Doctor has done this before for me.
