Guest guest
, Maybe the kids with earlier sinus problems do better lung wise because they are treated (or many of them are) aggressively for the sinus stuff with IV antibiotics....long before they get lung probs and therefore are treated preventivly (by osmosis) for potential future lung problems (even if the intent is not to treat proactively, but that would be the end result, would it not?) Our doc says that most tuneups for sinus have to be 21 days, but only 10 days for just lung stuff.....hmmmmm, now you got me wondering. Jen ps, y ou keep sending posts that make me think you didn't get my last posts....I guess digest reallyu does keep you delayed, hehehe
Guest guest
Hi Jennie, Well, you've got a plan, and it sounds like your pulm was really accomodating and took a lot of time explaining stuff. I'm going to think way-positive thoughts that the peripheral and PICC will go smoothly, the ENT doesn't piss you off too much, and that most of all, the IV's do the trick for Mallory! What do they do for the ear drain? My brother said that with my nephew they simply stick a needle in and draw out the fluid (once without sedation-- don't know what the ped was thinking that time! Jordan wriggled out of the restraints, and it sounded pretty awful. The time they did it with sedation was fine). But when I asked the ped ENT nurse what they'd do if Meagan ends up needing the fluid drained, she said they'd to the Miryingotomy (sp?), which is the procedudre they do when they put tubes in, though she said M. wouldn't necessarily need the tubes part. Hey, remember to take some time to pee! (And eat, and maybe a few hours of sleep). Love,
