Guest guest Posted March 19, 2008 Report Share Posted March 19, 2008 CALL FOR THE POST OF ACCOUNTS OFFICER IN PFI, NEW DELHI Population Foundation of India is a non-governmental funding and promoting organisation for developing as well as implementing gender sensitive population and development policies, plans and programs. Population Foundation of India is one of the principal recipients for the program " Access to Care and Treatment-ACT " of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Round 4) to provide care and treatment services to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs) in 6 high prevalence states of India for a period of 5 years. PFI is interested in recruiting an Accounts Officer for assisting the Sr. Grants Manager for effective management of funds and in day to day operations of the project. Chartered Accountants/ Cost Accounts with 1 or 2 years experience or B.com /M.com having passed Intermediate examination of CA/CWA with 4 or 5 years tertiary experience will be preferred. Knowledge of Tally (7.2 version and above) is a MUST. Monthly consolidated fee may not be a constraint for the deserving candidate and is expected to be around Rs. 30,000 per month. In addition to the above, the following traits and qualities would be expected from the selected candidate: 1. To assist the Sr. Grants Manager in all financial functions & operations. 2. He should: • Be a Team Player • Have functional skills • Have interpersonal & communication skills 3. Reports functionally & administratively to Sr. Grants Manager 4. Job Responsibilities would include: • Finalisation of Budgets, Budgetary Controls, Periodic reviews and highlighting deviation. • Preparation of monthly / quarterly accounts, trial balances, consolidation of Annual Accounts. • Preparation of Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure Account, Schedules etc., for timely completion of internal and statutory audit of project accounts. • Follow up of Internal Control Systems, for financial transactions and system integrity. • Ensuring timely disbursement of funds required at various locations. • Assisting Sr. Grants Manager on constant follow up of project accounts with sub-recipients. • Preparation of Quarterly expense statements and other periodical statements required for submission to The Global Fund. • To assist Sr. Grants Manager in preparation of Agenda on financial and accounts matters for the field visits, Governing Board of PFI and Advisory Board. • To carry out all Accounts related routine jobs • To assist Auditors for audit related jobs. • Any other jobs as and when entrusted by the Sr. Grants Manager, PD & ED, PFI. The interviews will be held on 2nd April in PFI’s office in New Delhi. The person selected may have to join immediately and take over from day-1. Candidates who have a commitment to work on a long term work only need apply.
