Guest guest
Moderator's Note: Please do not discontinue a medication without talking with your doctor. Stopping a medication suddenly could have serious side effects. The sleepiness should start to diminish soon if it doesn't tell your Doctor. Neurontin is supposed to be started at a low dose and increased as the side effects diminish and until the desired pain relief is reached. I just learned of a serious side effect of this drug today on this site. It is skin leisions that look like blisters. I have had these for years scarring me terribly and Doctors never were able to tell me why. Thanks to friends on here now I know about this and will stop taking the Neurontin. This drug either does you a lot of good or none at all according to people who I know personally who have taken it. It does me a lot of good but the blistered skin I can't tolerate. Gentle hugs to you and I hope this helps! > Schafer wrote: > I have been on neurontin for about a week now, and I am so sleepy I can't stand it! Will this side effect go away?
