Guest guest
That's not very high for paramedics. Guest guest
Andy, If you guys keep having openings at 45K to 65K a year, then Henry, and I don't stand a chance of hiring anyone. At least I don't. Heck, Henry may be paying more. I heard he gets paid that much just watching the fish jump in his boat. Sorry, Henry I didn't mean to let the cat out of the bag. Ron Re: AMR Arlington I don't know, but almost $37K, with TMRS retirement, vested after 5 years in Beaumont, Health and Dental for your first six month before you get another raise, seems quite good to me. No transfers, all 911 calls and freedom to be a paramedic without restrictions, I love it. This is without OT and who doesn't work some OT when ur on 24/48's. All of our medics made between 45K and 65K and they seem quite happy. Andy

The six weeks are divided into 6, fifty-six hours work weeks. 24 hours on, 48 off.
Guest guest
Now Bob you know that both Ron and I will take a close look at anyone that applies. I see a different underlying theme here. What I see is a young medic that has probably ( I say probably) never had other real employement that Works your butt off (hoe and rake type), military service (see where bitching gets you there), oil field in the middle of winter (you just wished for some Mc coffee to spill on ya), shop cotton, bla bla bla I see way to many young EMS folks bitching about their rights when they have not earned the right to bitch. Way too many that feel the world owes them something because they exist. Remember the 80's when you could get employees that had a work ethic when you hired them. Of course we could thank the oil crash for freeing up so many willing to work folks. I do think that if a patient care issue exist that he/she should speak up. All the other is just so much cheese and W_ _ _ e! Henry Barber Bob Kellow wrote: > Points well taken, Mike. However, " primarymedic " did more than > exercise > his right to free speech. Guest guest
I will be paying that much this summer to hire a guide to take me to some better honey holes. Guest guest
Sorry for the late post and most may have already responded to this...but $11.00/hr for a paramedic is not necessarilly low. There are plenty of services throughout the state that start paramedics at a lower rate than that. Just my two cents worth.
